BARESA KITCHEN DESIGN GUIDE

TRADITIONAL KITCHENS
Traditional kitchen style incorporates decorative accents and attention to details. Some features include arches, corbels, posts/feet, decorative crown and hood fan, glass doors, raised panel style doors, glazing to painted doors etc.

TRANSITIONAL KITCHENS
Transitional : Transitional kitchen style is a blend of both modern elements and traditional, to create a timeless look. There are a mix of sleek lines as well as subtle textures. This gives a classic feel with a contemporary touch.

MODERN/CONTEMPORARY KITCHENS
Both modern and contemporary kitchens have the same elements- SIMPLE. Flat panel doors are a common feature in both styles. Usually appliances are built in or panel ready, hidden away. Minimal features and simple colour palettes giving you a sleek look.
DIFFERENT TYPES OF KITCHENS
GALLEY KITCHENS
This style is ideal for smaller spaces, it is made up of two walls opposite of eachother, or two parallel countertops with a walkway between them. This layout had no returns/ no corner cabinets.

L-SHAPED
L- shaped kitchens maximize space by adding corner cabinets and this style is recommended for small to medium sized spaces. The “L” shape consists of countertops on two adjoining walls that are perpendicular.
U- SHAPED
U- shape kitchens consist of three walls of cabinetry/appliances. For medium/large spaces.

PENINSULA
A peninsula kitchen is basically an L shaped kitchen with a connected island. Peninsulas function like islands but allow more clearance in kitchens that do not have the appropriate square footage for a true island.
